I want to be truly content with my life. I want
to wake up every morning and live for myself. I want to travel and see the
world. I want to make something of my life and to affect the lives of others. I
see myself doing this in my future when I become an educator. I envision the
lives of those I will help when I am a high school teacher. I see the love from
those around me, from my family and friends. I see the friendships I have made
this year since I have started school. I carry on me my backpack, which
contains my books for the classes that I attend. I hold my student card that
labels me as an undergraduate student at the University of Missouri. I hold my
cell phone that almost never leaves my hand. I acknowledge that this inanimate
object serves a great purpose in my life and is often given too much value. I
carry in my heart the love from my parents who raised me. I hold the love I
have for my two younger siblings. I know that I am very blessed. I know that I
have an infinite number of opportunities to accomplish a great deal of things.
I know that I should take advantage of these opportunities that I have in my
life and aspire to do great things. I know that I am a nineteen-year-old
college freshman, and I know that I will
continue on to do many great things.
